KYC Onboarding Analyst
Perm Position
On-Site 5 Days a week, NYC
Competitive compensation and benefits. $100-175K
Seeking Multiple experienced KYC/KYB Onboarding Analysts to manage customer onboarding from initial intake through account opening. The role supports business and institutional clients, complex legal entities, high-net-worth individuals, consumers, and fintech-partner customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned onboarding cases from intake through completion
- Collect and review identification, formation, ownership, and authority documents
- Perform identity verification for applicants, beneficial owners, signers, and control persons
- Analyze complex ownership structures, including holding companies, funds, trusts, offshore entities, and nominee arrangements
- Conduct KYB, CDD, and source-of-funds/source-of-wealth reviews
- Document business purpose, expected account activity, counterparties, jurisdictions, and anticipated payment flows
- Verify registrations, licenses, and regulatory status where applicable
- Conduct sanctions, PEP, adverse-media, and negative-news screening
- Prepare customer risk-rating recommendations and escalate high-risk or EDD-eligible relationships
- Manage client and Relationship Manager requests, outstanding documentation, and onboarding timelines
- Complete periodic reviews, trigger-event reviews, and file remediation
- Maintain complete, accurate, and examination-ready customer records
Qualifications
- 3–8+ years of KYC, KYB, CDD, EDD, onboarding, or financial-crimes compliance experience
- Experience working in either the first or second line of defense
- Strong knowledge of beneficial ownership, complex legal-entity structures, screening, risk rating, and escalation requirements
- Experience using identity-verification, screening, KYC, and case-management platforms
- Strong written documentation, investigative, and client-communication skills
- Digital-asset, fintech, correspondent-banking, or blockchain-analytics experience is a plus
- Spanish-language proficiency is a plus (NOT REQUIRED)
- CAMS or equivalent certification preferred
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and can produce complete, defensible KYC files that can withstand Compliance, Internal Audit, and regulatory review. Possible relocation available
