Job Ref: 15183
Salary: $75000 – $100000
Treasury Dealer – FX & Money Market Trading
Location: New York City Compensation: $75,000–$100,000 base + discretionary bonus
About the Role
A well-established international bank is seeking a Treasury Dealer to join its Treasury Department, focused on executing money market and foreign exchange transactions. This is a hands-on, front-office trading role with direct exposure to global markets and correspondent banking relationships — ideal for a trader looking to own their book without heavy operational or back-office overlap.
What You’ll Do
- Execute money market and foreign exchange transactions on a leading dealing platform (LSEG)
- Trade fixed income securities (buy/sell) if you have this experience — a strong plus
- Manage a steady flow of approximately 50–100 transactions per month
- Work directly with correspondent banking counterparties, with significant exposure to international markets
- Prepare trade-related reporting and support Treasury’s daily operations
- Serve as a knowledgeable backup on KYC/due diligence matters for banking counterparties (a dedicated team member owns this function day-to-day)
What You Won’t Do
- This role is strictly front-office and pre-settlement — you won’t be handling back-office bookkeeping, GL entries, or balance sheet accounting. Clean segregation of duties means you can stay focused on trading.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience in trading or dealing, with strong money market and FX experience (fixed income experience a plus)
- Solid working knowledge of financial markets — you’re ready to hit the ground running
- Experience with LSEG (formerly Reuters/Refinitiv) or similar dealing platforms; strong Excel skills
- Comfort working early morning hours to align with international market hours (approx. 7:30/8:00 AM–3:30/4:00 PM)
- Arabic language skills a plus
- General familiarity with KYC/compliance concepts is helpful, though not the primary focus of this role
Why This Role
- Direct ownership of a trading book with meaningful daily transaction volume
- Clear, well-defined role — pure individual contributor, reporting to the Head of Treasury
- Opportunity for cross-training across other Treasury functions as you grow
- Join a collaborative team environment that values flexibility and continuous learning
Reports directly to the Head of Treasury. Individual contributor role with cross-training opportunities into additional treasury functions.
