Senior OFAC Analyst (BSA/AML)

? Location: Manhattan, NY – On-site
? Salary: $85K–$100K base (depending on experience)

Our client, a financial institution in Manhattan, is seeking a Senior OFAC Analyst to support the bank’s sanctions compliance program. The role will focus primarily on OFAC screening, sanctions alert review, and regulatory compliance under the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and USA PATRIOT Act.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and investigate OFAC and PEP sanctions alerts, clearing false positives or escalating confirmed matches.

  • Monitor compliance with OFAC regulations, BSA, and the USA PATRIOT Act.

  • Review new account documentation to ensure compliance with CIP/KYC requirements.

  • Review and support filing of Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) with FinCEN.

  • Review Patriot Act Section 314(a) government information requests.

  • Assist in maintaining sanctions screening systems and required BSA documentation.

  • Support regulatory examinations and compliance reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 3–5 years of OFAC or sanctions compliance experience within a financial institution.

  • Strong knowledge of OFAC regulations, BSA, and the USA PATRIOT Act.

  • CAMS certification preferred.

Screening Questions

  1. Do you have 3+ years of OFAC or sanctions compliance experience within a bank or financial institution?

  2. What experience do you have reviewing and resolving OFAC sanctions alerts or potential matches?

  3. Have you worked with sanctions screening systems or OFAC watchlist monitoring tools?

  4. Do you have experience supporting BSA/AML compliance programs or regulatory exams?
