IT Network Consultant (Cisco) – 6-Month Contract

? Location: Manhattan, NY (Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 remote)
? Duration: 6 Months

A financial institution in Manhattan is seeking an experienced Network Engineer / Cisco Consultant to support the design, optimization, and security of its enterprise network infrastructure.

This is a hands-on technical role focused on Cisco networking, network security, and infrastructure performance improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure.

  • Optimize and maintain key platforms including Cisco ASA firewalls, Cisco ISE NAC, Cisco Umbrella, AnyConnect VPN, and SolarWinds Orion.

  • Perform advanced network troubleshooting (Layer 2–Layer 7) and improve network monitoring and performance.

  • Strengthen network security and firewall configurations, including reviewing and optimizing firewall ACL rules.

  • Integrate network infrastructure with Active Directory, RADIUS, LDAP, and authentication systems.

  • Support ongoing network security hardening and infrastructure improvements.

Key Requirements

? 8+ years of enterprise network engineering experience
? CCNP Enterprise or CCNP Security required (CCIE a strong plus)
? Strong hands-on experience with Cisco ASA, Cisco ISE, Cisco Umbrella, AnyConnect VPN, and SolarWinds Orion
? Experience with network security, firewall management, and enterprise infrastructure
? Familiarity with Windows Server and Active Directory environments
? Ability to work independently and support off-hours maintenance when needed
