Assistant Controller/Junior Business Analyst (BANKING)

Located in Manhattan

Base salary $80,000–$100,000 depending on skills and experience

We are seeking an Assistant Controller or Junior Business Analyst with strong data analysis, SQL, and Excel skills to join a Financial & Data Control team in New York. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on exposure to banking, regulatory reporting, and financial analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support U.S. regulatory and financial reporting (Fed, NYSDFS, U.S. Department of Commerce)

  • Analyze and validate financial data related to P&L, balance sheet, capital, and liquidity

  • Assist with monthly closings, management reporting, and audits

  • Use SQL and Excel to analyze data and automate reporting

  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and support data/process improvement projects

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in banking, financial services, or financial reporting

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

  • Proficiency in SQL and advanced Excel

  • Strong analytical and communication skills

  • Ability to work on-site in New York
