 Location: On-site in Manhattan, NY
 Salary: $150,000–$175,000 (based on experience and qualifications)

We're seeking a hands-on IT Manager with a strong background in banking technology to drive innovation, security, and stability across all systems and infrastructure. This is a pivotal role where your technical leadership, regulatory know-how, and strategic mindset will directly support the bank’s mission to deliver secure, efficient, and modernized financial services. Position is open due to the retirement of the incumbent.

What You’ll Be Doing

 Technology Strategy & Execution

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and oversight of IT initiatives aligned with business priorities.

  • Evaluate and recommend IT systems to improve performance, security, and cost-efficiency.

 Infrastructure & Operations Oversight

  • Manage enterprise IT infrastructure: LAN/WAN networks, servers, desktops, voice/data systems, and cloud integrations.

  • Oversee maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting across hardware and software systems.

 Cybersecurity & Compliance

  • Drive cybersecurity best practices and maintain compliance with banking regulations.

  • Conduct regular risk assessments using tools like the Cybersecurity Risk Index (CRI) and enforce robust IT governance policies.

 Leadership & Vendor Management

  • Supervise a team including network administrators; ensure continuity and support coverage.

  • Negotiate and manage vendor relationships to deliver best-in-class services and technologies.

 User Enablement & Training

  • Design user support programs and training to ensure effective and secure tech utilization bank-wide.

  • Act as a technical translator—making complex systems accessible to non-technical stakeholders.

 

 Experience

  • 5+ years in progressively senior IT roles, ideally in the banking/financial services sector

  • Deep familiarity with Jack Henry CIF2020, Banno, and related banking platforms

  • Hands-on leadership in network/systems administration and cybersecurity frameworks

 Technical Proficiency

  • Strong knowledge of Windows, VMware, Linux/Unix, AS/400, and LAN/WAN infrastructure

  • Proficiency with office productivity and collaboration tools (MS Office, project management suites)

Leadership & Communication

  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage cross-functional projects, and communicate effectively at all levels

  • Comfortable translating technical solutions into business benefits

Business Acumen

  • Understanding of banking operations, regulatory requirements, and strategic IT planning

  • Capable of aligning IT strategies with organizational goals to drive measurable ROI
