OFAC/Sanctions Consultant Temp
Located on-site in Manhattan
Job Description:
Responsible for reviewing complex investigation cases and posted payment transactions, analyzing potential sanctions risks, and ensuring compliance with U.S. sanctions regulations.
- Conduct comprehensive investigations on complex OFAC-related payments, perform thorough due diligence research, and properly document all cases involving potential sanctions violations.
- Prepare Voluntary Self-Disclosures (VSDs) and Notification Letters (“NLs”).
- Monitor and maintain a detailed log of sanctions investigations and cases.
- Monitor external sanction-related negative news and conduct thorough internal research and investigations.
Requirements:
- Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree
- Expertise required: Senior-level Consultant
- Specific knowledge required: Strong sanctions knowledge, knowledge of business writing and Voluntary Self-Disclosure generally-accepted formatting
- Specific skills required: Strong writing skills
- Specific abilities required: Ability to clearly articulate facts relevant to recommendations
- Years of Relevant Experience Required: 3 years, 5+ years’ experience is highly preferred.
- Professional/Certification Requirements: CAMs preferred
- This role requires unrestricted U.S. work authorization. Employer sponsorship is not available.
