Loan Workout bilingual Chinese Consultant Temp (On-site)
Located on-site in Manhattan

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accountability report, supported by the Account Management Function and the FLUs Account Officer
  • Act as secretariat of LWC (facilitate meetings and prepare meeting minutes).
  • Communicate with Head Office and respond to Head Office requests.
  • Provide internal, external audit, loan review, regulatory exam response, and document request
  • Prepare Head Office reports, assisted by the Account Management Function and FLUs Account Officer.
  • Perform discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis and scenario modeling to assess loan recovery values, then propose the LGD value under IFRS9.
  • Assess the assumptions of credit loss (ACL / CECL) implications for distressed loans then propose to Loan Workout Committee’s approval.
  • Prepare detailed partial charge off memoranda based on the Impairment analyses for the Allowance for Credit Losses (ACL) methodology must conform with ASC 326-20 for appropriate and timely loss recognition for collateral dependent loans.

Requirements:
  • Experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience
  • Education: Master’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field
  • Core Competencies:
    • Strong foundation in financial accounting, financial statement analysis, and corporate finance
    • Experience with cash flow modeling, valuation techniques, and credit risk assessment
    • Solid background in credit risk management and due diligence, including written credit risk synopses or loan portfolio reporting
  • Industry & Regulatory Knowledge:
    • Knowledge of U.S. banking, credit risk management, and regulatory frameworks (preferred)
    • Experience in corporate banking and credit analysis
    • Well-rounded credit risk/due diligence experience from multiple banks
    • Familiarity with legal concepts and loan agreements
  • Skills:
    • High attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Language Requirements:
    • Bilingual proficiency in English and Chinese (strong oral and written skills)
