Audit/Risk Consultant
Located on-site in Manhattan
Requirements:
- 7-10 years’ of work experience auditing financial institutions.
- Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting, finance, business, quantitative, data analytics or related disciplines
- Professional/Certification Requirements: CPA, CIA, and CFA preferred.
- Other Relevant Requirements: Work experience including in a control, risk, or audit role, including risk management at a large banking organization and/or Big 4 accounting/consulting firms with a deep understanding of corporate, commercial and retail banking. Experience in audit methodology including maintaining work papers as per audit standards. Solid understanding of risk management including market, credit, operational, liquidity and model risk. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Responsibilities:
- Supporting audit execution of the Bank’s corporate and retail business activities and risk management programs. Specifically, the FTC will be expected to help in three audit 1) Model Risk Management and End User Computing, 2) Credit Risk Management, Counterparty Credit Risk & CECL 3) Global Markets and Market Risk Management.
- Execute audit coverage of risk management and front line business units
- Design and ensure implementation of testing of controls of business activities and risk management
- Execute assigned audit programs
- Support delivery of audit reports and Internal Audit feedback that is complete, insightful, and timely
- Evaluate management action plans to ensure they adequately address the audit issue raised
- Direct and/or perform issue tracking and risk-based validation issues
- Design and ensure implementation of continuous monitoring of business activities and management functions and attendant risks
- Partner with data analytics to design and apply re-usable tools to automate testing & sampling
