Operational Risk Governance Consultant
Located on-site in Manhattan
Anticipated duration- 6 months

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead remediation efforts for high-priority regulatory issues in operational risk

  • Support the implementation and integration of the Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) across all risk types and programs

  • Enhance governance structures to ensure robust risk oversight and reporting

  • Develop actionable KRIs, dashboards, and enterprise-level risk reports for senior leadership and board stakeholders

  • Ensure alignment with evolving regulatory expectations and internal risk appetite

  • Perform Front-Line Unit level assessments to inform enterprise-wide risk profiles

  • Advance the bank’s Operational Risk Taxonomy to enable meaningful risk analysis and reporting

  • Deliver targeted risk training to cultivate a culture of risk awareness and ownership

  • Design and implement forward-looking scenario analysis frameworks

What We’re Looking For:

  • 10+ years in Operational Risk Management within the Banking or Financial Services industry

  • Proven expertise in regulatory remediation and governance oversight

  • Strong track record with enterprise-level risk reporting and interaction with regulators

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred

  • Hands-on, execution-driven mindset with strong strategic thinking

  • Technical proficiency in risk data, taxonomy, and risk visualization tools

  • Ability to lead complex initiatives and make clear decisions under pressure
