VP – Compliance Testing Officer
Location: Manhattan, NY HYBRID
Base Salary: $140K–$150K (commensurate with experience)

Are you ready to shape how a leading Manhattan-based bank safeguards itself from regulatory risk? We’re seeking an experienced Compliance Testing Officer (VP) who will lead risk-based compliance testing and ensure the effectiveness of our BSA/AML and sanctions program.

This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll leverage your knowledge of commercial and middle-market banking products to influence decision-making, strengthen controls, and ensure regulatory excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Testing Program: Design and execute a comprehensive, risk-based Compliance Testing Plan.

  • Assess & Report Risk: Define scopes, conduct reviews, and deliver clear, actionable reporting to management.

  • Ensure Regulatory Alignment: Evaluate controls against U.S. banking laws, focusing on BSA/AML and sanctions compliance.

  • Collaborate Across the Bank: Partner with business lines, providing credible challenge and driving effective remediation.

  • Strengthen Processes: Identify control gaps, recommend enhancements, and support regulatory exams and audits.

  • Stay Ahead: Monitor emerging risks, regulatory changes, and industry best practices to keep the program current.

What We’re Looking For

  • 7–10+ years in compliance testing, internal audit, or regulatory risk within U.S. financial services.

  • Strong knowledge of commercial and middle-market banking operations (including syndicated lending and related products).

  • Expertise in BSA/AML and sanctions regulations.

  • Proven ability to design methodologies, assess controls, and communicate findings effectively.

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills across all levels of the organization.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Law; CAMS certification strongly preferred.

  • Data analytics experience is a plus.
