Large Insurance brokerage in Westchester, NY seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead  Workers Compensation department and play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service to policyholders.

Position Overview:
As the Manager of Workers Compensation Safety Groups, you will oversee a dedicated team of claims and billing specialists, guiding their efforts to deliver exceptional results and maintain operational efficiency. This is a leadership role requiring deep expertise in workers’ compensation (WC) coverages and claims, strong analytical capabilities, and outstanding communication skills. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on responsibilities, offering an opportunity to make a significant impact within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and support a team of five specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

  • Workers Compensation Expertise: Apply in-depth knowledge of WC coverages and claims to manage complex cases and ensure compliance with industry standards.

  • Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with policyholders, including business owners, by providing expert guidance and ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and care.

  • Program Management: Oversee the administration of Workers Compensation Safety Groups, including the analysis of macro-level program metrics and detailed billing system operations.

Requirements:

  • Proven expertise in workers’ compensation coverages and claims,

  • Demonstrated success in a leadership or supervisory role, ideally within the insurance industry.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to manage both high-level program data and detailed billing system functions.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with experience working directly with business owners and other key stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in relevant software systems and a willingness to learn proprietary tools.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, or a related field; P&C or Adjusters License.

Work Schedule:
This position requires a minimum of three days per week in the office, with the flexibility to work remotely on other days. During the initial onboarding period, up to five days in the office may be necessary to ensure a smooth transition and proficiency in our systems.
 

Salary:
100k to 150k Commensurate with Experience
