Key Responsibilities:
Credit Risk Analysis:
- Conduct due diligence for high-profile deals in project finance, infrastructure finance, M&A, and syndicated loans.
- Prepare detailed credit recommendation reports (CRR) and work with the credit risk team to manage underwriting and due diligence.
- Evaluate creditworthiness of clients, ensuring decisions align with internal profitability and risk requirements.
- Oversee the loan documentation process, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and reviewed for accuracy.
- Regularly monitor and conduct credit reviews of the bank’s loan portfolio to ensure asset quality and compliance with underwriting expectations.
Business Development & Customer Relationship:
- Maintain regular contact with clients, exploring opportunities to deliver value and expand business relationships.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and customer targets.
- Play an active role in business development initiatives, including marketing plans and participation in community and industry events.
- Structure, negotiate, and supervise the term sheets and commitment letters, ensuring alignment with credit decisions and business objectives.
- Safeguard customer information and ensure all communications are secure and confidential.
Portfolio & Post-Lending Management:
- Oversee the management of Project Finance, Syndicated Loans, M&A Finance, and C&I Leveraged Lending portfolios.
- Ensure that loan processing and closings are handled efficiently and accurately.
- Assist with administrative duties, including account setup, internal reports, and post-lending monitoring.
- Monitor loan renewals and ensure appropriate actions are taken on matured or maturing loans.
Risk & Compliance Management:
- Ensure all activities comply with applicable regulations, including AML, BSA, and KYC requirements.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure continued compliance.
- Assist with audits, providing necessary documentation and supporting evidence in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5 years of experience in structured finance for AVP candidates; 1-4 years for Associate candidates.
- Strong background in credit risk analysis, financial modeling, and loan portfolio management.
- Proven ability to structure complex deals and navigate syndicated loan transactions.
- Bilingual in Mandarin and English – excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
- Formal credit training from another bank with a specialty in structured finance is a plus.
