Associate/AVP Corporate Banking bilingual Mandarin
Base Salary: $42k – $150k (Depending on experience and qualifications)
Location: Onsite in Manhattan

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with major in business, financial, accounting or economics is required. A master degree preferred.
- 5 years of work experience in structured finance is required for AVP; 1- 4 years of work experience in structured finance is required for Associate.
- Passion for syndication field, self-starter, high-energy level, dependable, detail-oriented but mindful of the big picture, multi-tasker, performs under time pressure, problem solver, takes ownership of work product and has a well-reasoned view.
- Absorbs multiple data points and makes decisions with conviction. Team player.
- Knowledge of financial modeling.

Formal Credit Training in other bank and specialty in structured finance (including project finance), loan portfolio management.
- Excellent communication skills in verbal and writing is a must, bilingual ability in Mandarin is highly preferred.
- Responsibilities:
- Conduct due diligence for high-profile deals in project finance, infrastructure finance, M&A, and syndicated loans.
- Prepare detailed credit recommendation reports (CRR) and work with the credit risk team to manage underwriting and due diligence.
- Evaluate creditworthiness of clients, ensuring decisions align with internal profitability and risk requirements.
- Oversee the loan documentation process, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed and reviewed for accuracy.
- Regularly monitor and conduct credit reviews of the bank’s loan portfolio to ensure asset quality and compliance with underwriting expectations.
- Maintain regular contact with clients, exploring opportunities to deliver value and expand business relationships.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and customer targets.
- Play an active role in business development initiatives, including marketing plans and participation in community and industry events.
- Structure, negotiate, and supervise the term sheets and commitment letters, ensuring alignment with credit decisions and business objectives.
- Oversee the management of Project Finance, Syndicated Loans, M&A Finance, and C&I Leveraged Lending portfolios.
- Ensure that loan processing and closings are handled efficiently and accurately.
- Assist with administrative duties, including account setup, internal reports, and post-lending monitoring.
- Ensure all activities comply with applicable regulations, including AML, BSA, and KYC requirements.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure continued compliance.
- Assist with audits, providing necessary documentation and supporting evidence in a timely manner.
