Third Party Risk Management Consultant

 

We’re seeking a hands-on Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) Consultant to help execute and improve vendor risk processes within a regulated financial services environment.

This role goes beyond advisory—you’ll actively perform due diligence, manage vendor risk activities, and drive practical improvements to make the TPRM framework more efficient and sustainable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute third-party due diligence for new and existing vendors

  • Address gaps in legacy contracts and support vendor offboarding

  • Reduce backlog across outsourcing and cloud governance processes

  • Implement regulatory requirements (e.g., NYDFS, DORA) into daily operations

  • Maintain vendor inventory and ensure timely SLA adherence

  • Streamline TPRM processes while continuing day-to-day execution (“fix while running”)

  • Partner with risk, compliance, legal, IT, and business teams to drive outcomes

  • Support audits and regulatory exams with clear documentation

Requirements

  • Hands-on TPRM experience (execution-focused, not just advisory)

  • Background in financial services or regulated environments

  • Experience with vendor due diligence, contract review, and risk assessment

  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as NYDFS or DORA

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
