Make an Impact at the Executive Level
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Credit Manager to lead our Credit Department in San Francisco. In this high-visibility role, you will be a key decision-maker responsible for overseeing commercial loan transactions, ensuring policy compliance, guiding a team of professionals, and playing a strategic role in risk management and credit operations.
This is more than a management role — it’s a chance to shape credit policy execution, collaborate with executive leadership, and contribute to the long-term financial strength of a well-established financial institution.
What You’ll Do:
-
Lead a Skilled Team: Direct day-to-day operations of the credit department, delegate responsibilities, and ensure efficiency and compliance across all credit processes.
-
Drive Credit Decisions: Review and approve new loan applications and renewals, in collaboration with market heads and under the bank’s Delegated Lending Authority.
-
Ensure Risk Integrity: Oversee loan documentation, real estate appraisals, environmental reports, and the review process to ensure alignment with regulatory and internal standards.
-
Monitor Portfolio Health: Prepare quarterly credit memos, including ALLL (Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses), and supervise the tracking of classified loans and OREO portfolios.
-
Engage in Strategic Oversight: Coordinate external reviews and audits, respond to examiner inquiries, and provide key reporting to Headquarters and the Loan Committee.
-
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with attorneys, relationship managers, and executive stakeholders on credit structuring, risk exposure, and recoveries.
What We’re Looking For:
-
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
-
10+ years of progressive experience in commercial credit, lending, or banking operations
-
Strong familiarity with credit policies, lending practices, and regulatory compliance
-
Proven leadership in managing people and processes within a credit or lending function
-
Experience handling loan workouts, collateral management, and classified loans
-
Exceptional communication, organizational, and analytical skills
-
A strong sense of accountability and risk awareness
Why Join Us?
-
Competitive base salary of $100,000–$140,000, commensurate with experience
-
Lead a high-impact team and work closely with senior decision-makers
-
Be part of a collaborative, growth-oriented, and stable financial institution
-
Influence credit policy and risk strategy in a leadership role
