Associate / AVP, Third Party Risk Management (Financial Services)

We’re seeking a talented and detail-driven Associate or Assistant Vice President (depending on experience) to join our Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) team. Located in the heart of Manhattan, this position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of regulatory compliance, operational resilience, and strategic vendor oversight in a dynamic financial services environment.
This is more than a governance role — it’s a chance to build frameworks, influence enterprise-wide policies, and take ownership of a critical risk discipline that directly impacts the safety, soundness, and reputation of the bank.
What You’ll Do:

Design and evolve the Third Party Risk Management Framework from the ground up

Write and update TPRM policies, standards, and annual work plans

Conduct periodic risk assessments of the third-party population and lifecycle

Serve as a Second Line of Defense, providing challenge and guidance to First Line Units (FLUs)

Create aggregated TPRM risk reports for senior stakeholders

Support system implementation, upgrades, and training

Engage with compliance, AML, and operational risk functions to ensure alignment and regulatory readiness
What You Bring:

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree is a plus

AVP Level: 5+ years in financial services, including 2+ years in third party risk management

Associate Level: 1+ year in third party risk management

Strong understanding of risk frameworks, IT risk, compliance, and banking workflows

Experience with TPRM systems, tools, and regulatory expectations

Professional certifications like CTPRP or CRVPM are a plus
