About the Opportunity
ACG Resources is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a highly respected international commercial bank seeking a Corporate Credit Analyst to join its expanding Corporate Risk Management team in New York.
This is a newly created position driven by continued growth within the Corporate Banking platform. The successful candidate will become a key member of an established credit team responsible for underwriting, portfolio management, and ongoing risk oversight of a diverse portfolio of middle-market, large corporate, and multinational clients.
The bank is seeking a true career credit professional—someone who enjoys underwriting, financial analysis, and risk management and wants to continue building their career within Credit Risk. This is not intended to be a stepping stone into Relationship Management or Front Office Banking.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive credit analysis on new and existing corporate borrowers across a broad range of industries.
- Prepare detailed credit memoranda, annual reviews, internal risk ratings, amendments, waivers, and other credit approval documentation.
- Analyze financial statements prepared under both U.S. GAAP and IFRS.
- Evaluate transaction structures, collateral packages, covenant protections, and overall credit risk.
- Review loan and collateral documentation alongside internal and external legal counsel.
- Monitor an assigned portfolio of corporate borrowers and proactively identify emerging credit concerns.
- Prepare watch list reporting and recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
- Present credit recommendations to management and internal credit committees.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and U.S. banking regulations.
- Partner closely with Relationship Managers and Credit Risk teams across New York, Germany, and Mexico.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
- Approximately 5+ years of Corporate Credit, Commercial Banking Credit Risk, Portfolio Management, or Underwriting experience.
- Strong financial statement analysis and commercial credit underwriting experience.
- Experience writing detailed credit memoranda and presenting recommendations.
- Knowledge of commercial lending structures, collateral analysis, and covenant monitoring.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
Preferred Experience
Ideal candidates may come from:
- International or foreign commercial banks
- Regional or money-center banks
- Corporate Banking Credit Risk
- Commercial Credit Underwriting
- Portfolio Management
- Middle Market or Large Corporate Lending
German language skills are highly desirable but not required.
Experience working with borrowers in industries such as manufacturing, automotive, industrial, consumer products, transportation, or diversified corporate sectors is a plus.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
- Newly created growth position within a stable international bank.
- Opportunity to work with sophisticated corporate borrowers and multinational clients.
- Broad exposure to complex commercial lending transactions and cross-border credit.
- Collaborative credit culture that values technical excellence and long-term career development.
- Excellent visibility within a well-established Risk Management organization.
- Competitive compensation, annual bonus, outstanding benefits, and long-term career growth.
The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for someone who enjoys being a Credit Analyst and takes pride in producing thoughtful, well-supported credit recommendations. The successful candidate is intellectually curious, detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about risk management. They are looking to build a long-term career in Corporate Credit rather than pursuing a sales or front-office lending path.
