HR Payroll & Benefits Manager (Hybrid)
Are you a strategic HR professional with expertise in payroll, benefits, and employee wellbeing? We’re seeking a dynamic HR Payroll & Benefits Manager to lead our comprehensive programs, ensure regulatory excellence, and elevate the employee experience. This role offers a hybrid work environment and the chance to shape vital HR strategies within a regulated financial services setting.

VP: 155-165K
What You’ll Do:
- Lead end-to-end management of employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, insurance, retirement, wellness, and leave programs.
- Act as the primary point of contact for complex benefits inquiries and oversee annual enrollment and employee communications.
- Collaborate with brokers and vendors to optimize plan design, control costs, and enhance employee value.
- Manage HIPAA privacy compliance, safeguarding health information and handling privacy breaches.
- Oversee the full payroll cycle, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, liaising with third-party vendors (Gallagher, ADP), and managing expatriate payroll.
- Ensure payroll compliance with federal, state, local, and international regulations.
- Administer salary adjustments, bonuses, and partner with Finance on reconciliations and reporting.
- Conduct payroll audits, support regulatory filings (e.g., Form 5500), and lead audit preparations.
- Drive continuous process improvements using HRIS and payroll systems, enhancing efficiency and reporting.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate service agreements, and ensure service excellence.
- Participate in retirement plan governance, including compliance testing, fiduciary reviews, and trustee meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve controls, automate processes, and develop metrics for ongoing reporting.
- Stay ahead of legislative changes impacting payroll and benefits, ensuring organizational compliance.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field.
- 6-10 years (Senior Associate level) or 10+ years (VP level) of progressive payroll and benefits experience, ideally in financial services or regulated industries.
- Deep understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and benefits administration.
- Proven experience managing payroll vendors and benefits providers.
- Strong proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems such as ADP, SAP SuccessFactors.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive info with discretion, and operate with a high attention to detail.
