Key Responsibilities

Subject Matter Expert: Serve as the technical authority for the Avaloq core banking system, providing expert support and guidance.

Operational Support: Manage daily production activities, including troubleshooting incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and coordinating with vendors to ensure smooth system performance.

Data Analysis & Reconciliation: Utilize Microsoft SQL to perform in-depth data analysis, reconciliations, and investigations supporting operational, accounting, and regulatory functions.

Interface and Data Flow Management: Oversee and monitor system interfaces (e.g., Avaloq ITF interfaces, inbound/outbound feeds), ensuring accurate and timely data exchange.

System Changes & Upgrades: Support implementation of new system releases, patches, and upgrades through testing, validation, and documentation.

Technical Solutions: Translate business needs, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards into effective technical solutions within the core banking platform.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Finance, Operations, Risk, and Compliance to support regulatory reporting, audit requirements, and process improvements.

Documentation & Controls: Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, operating procedures, and controls to uphold operational excellence and audit readiness.
Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Minimum of 5 years of experience working with core banking systems within a regulated environment.

Hands-on experience with leading tier-1 core banking platforms such as Avaloq, Temenos, Midas, or similar solutions.

Proven expertise in Microsoft SQL for data analysis, reconciliation, troubleshooting, and reporting.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies used in enterprise banking environments.

In-depth understanding of banking back-office processes, accounting flows, and data structures.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Fluent in English.
Nice-to-Have Skills & Experience

Prior experience with core banking data reconciliations and supporting regulatory reporting activities.

Familiarity with AI- and data-driven tools to enhance automation, analysis, and operational efficiency.

Exposure to AI-assisted analysis, reporting, or investigation tools within banking or IT settings.

Advanced SQL proficiency, capable of managing large datasets and executing complex reconciliations.

Deep knowledge of Avaloq’s accounting logic, booking procedures, and position management functionalities.

Experience working in international or foreign branch environments.

German language skills are a plus.
Salary $125K-170K plus bonus
