Debt Resolutions Specialist (Collections) – Reston, VA (On-Site)
We are partnering with a well-established financial institution to identify a Debt Resolutions Specialist to join their team in Reston, VA. This role is ideal for someone with experience in consumer collections seeking a stable environment with strong benefits and long-term growth potential.
Location:
Reston, VA (On-site, 5 days/week) On-site parking available
Compensation:
$45,000 – $53,000 base salary + full benefits package
Position Overview:
This position focuses on managing delinquent consumer accounts and working directly with borrowers to resolve outstanding debt obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and resolve delinquent accounts (credit cards, personal loans, mortgages)
• Contact borrowers to negotiate repayment plans
• Monitor overdraft and delinquency reports
• Process charge-offs and escalate accounts
• Maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with internal teams
Qualifications:
• 1+ year collections experience within a financial institution or similar
• Experience with consumer debt collections
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to manage volume and prioritize
• Comfortable fully on-site

Background & Clearance Requirements:
This position requires the ability to successfully complete a Public Trust background investigation, which may include employment verification, credit history review, and other checks in accordance with federal requirements. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain this clearance.

• Fully on-site role (no hybrid/remote)
• Must be comfortable in collections-focused role
