Vice President Credit Risk Analyst

Base Salary: $110,000 – $220,000 (commensurate with experience and skillset)

About the Role:
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented VP Credit Risk Analyst to join our team in Manhattan. This high-impact role offers the opportunity to directly shape credit policy, influence lending decisions, and ensure robust risk oversight for a broad range of financial products. You’ll be working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where your insights and expertise are critical to maintaining our institution’s sound risk profile.
What You’ll Do:

Lead in-depth credit analysis on new credit requests, renewals, modifications, and annual reviews

Assess borrower’s creditworthiness and report findings impacting collateral or repayment ability

Prepare and present high-quality credit reports to senior stakeholders and Loan Officers

Support 2nd line of defense with timely completion of credit-related assessments and tasks

Assist with internal and external audits; address findings and ensure policy alignment

Conduct due diligence in accordance with internal risk policies and regulatory expectations

Proactively identify and recommend process improvements and risk mitigation strategies

Liaise with Financial Institution clients and internal teams to resolve credit-related inquiries

Support onboarding for new clients and products, ensuring credit standards are upheld
What You Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Finance or Statistics required; Master’s preferred

3–5+ years of experience in credit risk management within a financial institution

Deep understanding of credit principles, financial analysis, and risk frameworks

Working knowledge of regulatory compliance and credit policy

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills — clear, concise, and persuasive
