Are you a seasoned project management leader with a solid understanding of financial risk and regulatory landscapes? Step into a pivotal role as VP of the Project Management Office (PMO), supporting enterprise-wide risk initiatives at one of the most respected financial institutions in New York.
In this high-impact role, you’ll support the PMO team lead in driving cross-departmental risk management projects, ensuring seamless execution, robust governance, and alignment with regulatory expectations.
What You’ll Do
Project Management Governance

Help develop and refine PMO policies, procedures, and project governance frameworks.

Ensure project delivery processes align with regulatory and internal risk management standards.

Contribute to the successful operation of the bank’s centralized project management structure.
Project Execution & Oversight

Partner with team leads and project owners to manage timelines, risk assessments, and project documentation.

Flag and escalate risks, delays, or scope issues proactively to ensure resolution.

Support the full project lifecycle — from initiation and planning to execution and post-implementation.
Risk & Reporting

Assist with cost analyses, feasibility studies, and risk identification (internal and external).

Track, monitor, and report on project risks and remediation status to senior stakeholders.

Prepare responses for internal/external audits and regulatory examinations.
Stakeholder Engagement & Coaching

Develop strong working relationships across the business, risk, compliance, and technology.

Mentor junior team members, promoting collaboration, consistency, and delivery excellence.
What You Bring
-
Bachelor’s degree requiredMaster’s degree preferred (e.g., Business, Finance, Risk, or related fields).

8+ years of experience in project management and financial risk management roles.

Solid knowledge of key risk areas: credit, market, and operational risk.

Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) and/or risk certification (FRM, CRM) preferred.

Proficient in delivering formal reports and documentation.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work across functions and manage competing priorities.

Bilingual skills in English and Chinese
