Trade Finance Operations Specialist

Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Trade Finance Operations Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on effectively handling trade finance matters, including Letters of Credit (LCs), LC reimbursements, and loan transactions, while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:

Process transactions related to Trade Finance, Letters of Credit reimbursements, and loan operations accurately and efficiently in accordance with established procedures and service standards.

Collaborate closely with the Senior Officer, Trade Finance, and interact proactively with customers and correspondents to clarify instructions and document details, reducing errors and rework.

Advise customers promptly regarding Letters of Credit and Amendments, ensuring all regulatory requirements and guidelines are thoroughly reviewed and met.

Act as the liaison with Centralized Operations assisting in the swift and accurate handling of transactions and customer inquiries.

Coordinate effectively with customers to discuss, review, and resolve discrepancies related to Letters of Credit, documentation, payments, and charges, ensuring seamless service delivery within the agreed turnaround times.

Maintain organized, accurate, and easily accessible records and correspondence for efficient retrieval.

Manage the timely scanning and processing of incoming communications including mail, telex, fax, LCs, Amendments, reimbursement claims, and presented documents.
Requirements:

Previous experience in Trade Finance operations, specifically handling Letters of Credit and loan transactions.

Strong knowledge of trade finance regulations, standard operating procedures, and international banking practices.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal teams, international correspondents, and customers.

Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Proficiency in using banking software and scanning/document management tools.

Ability to identify discrepancies proactively and resolve issues efficiently.
