Director / Managing Director – Head of Risk Management

Ready to take the lead in shaping a bank’s risk strategy? Our client, a well-established foreign bank in NYC, is seeking a senior Risk Management leader to oversee enterprise-wide risk, strengthen frameworks, and guide strategy across operational, financial, IT, and information security risks.
This is a high-visibility role working with executive leadership and global teams—ideal for someone who thrives in a strategic, multicultural environment and wants to make a meaningful impact.
What You’ll Bring

10+ years in risk management within banking/financial services

Strong leadership experience managing risk teams

Deep knowledge of operational, market, liquidity, and IT/cyber risk

Solid understanding of U.S. regulatory requirements

Excellent communication and executive-level stakeholder skills
Nice to Have

Compliance background

Experience in global or cross-border environments

FRM, CFA, CISA, or related credentials
Education & Details

Bachelor’s required; Master’s preferred

Start date: Feb 2026 (possible January)
