AVP Human Resources Generalist -Financial Services (Hybrid)
located in Manhattan
Key Responsibilities:
Candidate should have hands-on compensation, performance management, and employee-relations experience within the financial services industry (preferably at an asset management or related field.)
- Market Research & Analysis: Conduct compensation and benefits market surveys (including McLagan benchmarking), analyze trends, and prepare reports with actionable insights to ensure the company stays competitive in total rewards.
- Annual Review & LTIP Administration: Oversee the annual corporate-wide review process and Long-Term Incentive Program (LTIP), ensuring seamless administration and preparation of materials for management.
- Employee Relations & Guidance: Provide expert guidance to employees and managers on compensation and benefits programs. Resolve employee relations issues and address inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Program & Policy Development: Develop, update, and maintain compensation policies, job descriptions, performance reviews, and tools to streamline HR processes and enhance the employee experience.
- Project Collaboration: Work closely with internal HR teams and external vendors to implement special HR projects, initiatives, and improvements to systems and policies.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure compliance with all relevant government regulations, conducting audits and preparing data for assessments to guarantee legal and procedural accuracy.
- Training & Development: Lead training sessions on compensation, benefits, and leave administration programs for managers and employees, ensuring proper understanding and implementation of policies.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field. SHRM or related certification a plus.
- 5-10 years of HR experience, with a strong focus on Compensation & Benefits Administration, Performance Management, and Employee Relations.
- Previous experience in the financial services industry (asset management preferred) is essential.
- Deep knowledge of compensation practices, LTIP programs, and total rewards administration.
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with compensation/performance management systems (experience with Bamboo HR is a plus).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills to drive success in a fast-paced environment.
