Location: Reston, VA
Salary: $45,000 - $50,000 (Based on experience)

Opportunity to join a credit union on a full time basis with phenomenal benefits. This role as a Credit Collections/Debt Resoultion Specialist reports directly to the Debt Resolution Manager.

Job Summary:
Responsible for managing delinquent loan accounts, recovering payments, and preserving Credit Union assets. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage Overdraft Privilege Program (ODP) reports daily. Resolve issues promptly and coordinate with members and collections agencies.
  • Maintain accurate records of debt resolutions activities and respond to consumer disputes from Credit Bureau Agencies.
  • Contact delinquent members by phone and mail, providing guidance based on Credit Union policies.
  • Analyze financial situations of delinquent borrowers for potential modifications.
  • Understand basic bankruptcy and garnishment laws; log and process cases accordingly.
  • Prepare reports and recommend policy updates to management.

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of related experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Basic computer and keyboarding skills.
