Vice President Legal Office
located onsite in Manhattan with a foreign bank
Base salary: Competitive Base Salary Range of $110,000 – $230,000 (commensurate with skills and experience)
Qualifications:
- Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in legal analysis and contract review, with deep knowledge of corporate and commercial finance, technology law, and governance.
- Licensing: Must be a licensed attorney in the State of New York.
- Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills, with a proven ability to navigate complex legal frameworks and provide practical solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Legal Review: Research, draft, and revise a wide range of legal agreements, including vendor service agreements, loan documents, and asset transactions. Your expertise will ensure compliance and mitigate risk in a highly regulated environment.
- Legal Advisory: Provide strategic legal counsel that guides the bank’s operations and ensures adherence to regulatory requirements, data protection, and confidentiality standards.
- Staff and Outside Counsel Management: Supervise junior legal professionals and manage relationships with outside counsel, enhancing the quality of legal advice and support within the organization. Develop templates and checklists to streamline legal processes.
