VP Payroll bilingual Chinese Hybrid
located onsite in Manhattan with a foreign bank
Currently it’s 3 days onsite
base salary $140-160K, dependent on experience and skills
The VP Payroll will be responsible for all aspects of the Bank’s full-scale, semi-monthly payroll process in multiple states in the US. The primary duties for this position include maintaining the accuracy of employee data and records, performing payroll accounts reconciliations, acting as the point of contact to resolve employee inquiries related to payroll, generating related reports to different stakeholders, and assisting with internal and external audit. In addition, this position will be conducting employment verification and compensation surveys and ensuring the payroll operation complies with regulatory laws and requirements.
Candidates should have a minimum bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or other related fields and a minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing, specifically full-cycle multi-state payroll with expat tax experience.
Should demonstrate superior knowledge and experience in the full cycle of payroll operations, including benefits and time & attendance, as well as the CA, NY, and IL employment rules and regulations. This position requires Hands-on and in-depth knowledge of payroll systems and reporting functions. Should demonstrate a detail-oriented attitude, the ability to handle confidential information, and excellent communication skills. CEBS, CCP, SPHR, PHR SHRM-CP, and/or FPC/CPP Certification(s) are preferred but not required for this position.
Bilingual Chinese ability.
