The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the branch’s adherence to global sanctions regulations, primarily those imposed by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
This role involves conducting sanctions screening, investigating potential matches, and providing expert advice on sanctions-related matters. The specialist should be capable of supervising junior staff, escalating issues to senior management as necessary, and collaborating in system testing to assess the functionality and effectiveness of the OFAC system. A working knowledge of correspondent banking and fluent in Spanish are required. Understanding of Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) is a significant plus.
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining remote and in-office work.  OFAC Certification or ACAMS Certifications required.
