JOB SUMMARY:
The cash management and payments products manager function provides Cash Management and Payments products and services for the bank’s corporate, sovereign and FI customers. This includes the channels and account offerings for the delivery of cash management, such as liquidity; pooling/sweeping and payments.

The Product Manager for cash management and payments reports to the
Head of Transaction Banking and is responsible for driving the development, innovation, management and sales of Cash Management and Payments products for the benefit of the bank’s customers. The role will develop and deliver the bank’s Cash Management and Payments, representing the bank in client and industry engagements and achieving targeted growth.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Product Strategy & Development

  • Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes for products, including, market research, competitive analysis, internal assessments, pricing, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch.
  • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, buy, build, partner frameworks, revenue, profitability & ROI analysis.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements & use scenarios for prototype construction and final product development by engineering teams.
  • Collaborate closely with relevant stakeholders on the development of products.
  • Plan the launches of net-new products and releases of existing products, and manage the cross-function implementation of the plan.
  • Establish product plan to ensure that revenue Key Performance Indicators are met and key risks are appropriately identified and mitigated.

Marketing and Sales

  • Analyze market & competitive data to develop sales strategies, and define product objectives for effective marketing communication plans.
  • Develop sales tools and messaging that differentiates the bank and its features across primary market segments.
  • Establish and execute a portfolio sales plan to ensure that revenue targets and Key Performance Indicators are met.
  • Originate cash management opportunities.
  • Execute the cash management sales process using consultative sales techniques as appropriate.
  • Attend or speak at industry conferences.
  • Develop marketing collateral and industry thought leadership.
  • Execute other sales related duties as required from time-to-time.

Collaborate with Risk, Business and Operations teams within the bank

  • Create Global Account Management Product Account Plans for designated clients to increase the bank’s share of wallet.
  • Conduct standalone and joint client calling (with Relationship Managers) to provide transaction banking product solutions and technical expertise.
  • Meet the bank’s risk and profitability requirements and deliver targeted growth in the Cash management and Payments business.
  • Act as client point of contact for all Cash and Payments transactions with the ability to discuss technical and operational aspects of transactions.
  • Identify product gaps or new product opportunities to influence the development of key new product service initiatives and more cost- effective delivery channels.
  • Proactively develop new client relationships and deliver exceptional, high level relationship management to clients and prospects.
  • Reinforce the delivery of superior customer service through personal example as well as appropriate follow through with customers and employees; conduct specific periodic meetings and trainings on this topic with correspondent banking relationship officers and other subordinates.
  • Contribute to the overall profitability of the bank by implementing strategies to meet financial targets and goals; assist in the implementation of costs controls, income generation, and marketing efforts.
  • Follow policies and procedures; complete administrative tasks correctly and on time; supports the Bank’s strategies, goals, and values.
  • In-depth understanding of Cash Management and Payments products and sound understanding of the broad range of digital and Transaction Banking products. 
  • Track record of success in Cash and Payments.
  • Proven record of technical understanding of Cash and Payments products.
  • Good understanding of risks related cash and payments products.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree preferably with concentration in Business, accounting, Management and Economics. Degrees in Sciences will be considered.
  • Minimum of 12 years of financial services experience with at least 7 years’ experience in Transaction Banking with particular emphasis on cash management and Payment.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, customer focused environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business software; strong presentation skills; strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility with work hours, including ability to work on holidays and weekends; ability to travel for business for periods ranging from one day to two weeks at a time.
  • Possess and demonstrate a broad, fundamental understanding of commercial and correspondent banking.
  • Strong interpersonal, sales and relationship management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of U.S bank regulatory requirements.
