Senior Associate-STANDBY LETTERS OF CREDIT/KYC Customer Service Corporate Banking
Tired of the Big Bank environment and seeking a smaller shop?. This may be for you. Position will track towards a Relationship Management role. We are working with a small New York branch of a European bank that is seeking a Senior Associate Customer Service in their Corporate Banking Group
Initially the candidate will be required to be onsite every day in order to learn the role. Thereafter it will move to a HYBRID mode of work,
You will serve as a primary contact for standby letters of credit, loans, investments and operational matters for a portfolio of customers. Interface with customers, the Letter of Credit Department and with Correspondent Banks overseas to obtain necessary information to manage the issuance of L/Cs/ Guarantees.
Assist to onboard new clients, maintain compliance tracking for current clients, gather necessary documentation and update the internal client database. Assist the account officers for credit related issues (usage of lines, monitoring receptions of financials, covenants, tax documents)..
• Knowledge banking operations (5+ years of experience)
• Knowledge of standby letters of credit
Knowledge of Actimize or a similar compliance tracking system (KYC)
• Interest in developing business.
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Reactive to customer and internal requests
• Ability to take ownership of a project and see it through to the end.
