Compliance Manager (MWBE) Hybrid
Located in Manhattan
Looking for an MWBE Compliance Manager to assist small, minority and women owned businesses with increasing contracts with government agencies and large corporations.
Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS
Education Level required: Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline preferred. Associate degree with six years relevant experience may be considered.
Experience required: 3+ years’ experience in contract administration, MWBE compliance, combination of MWBE and/or SDVOB, contract administration, regulatory compliance, grant administration, and/or construction. Contract compliance and financial auditing experience is preferred.
Knowledge required: Advanced ability in Microsoft Office and using contract and data management systems. Excellent people skills and outstanding oral and written communication skills are required.
Conduct market research to determine the availability of small, local, and diverse suppliers to take part on contracts with government agencies and corporations seeking to increase opportunities for diverse businesses.
Communicate opportunities to local and diverse suppliers by coordinating targeted outreach efforts.
Create weekly reports documenting good faith efforts for all projects.
Update and maintain compliance reports in compliance tracking systems in accurate and prompt manner.
Assist clients with identifying and communicating with local, diverse suppliers by coordinating outreach, meetings and interviews.
Educate small, local, and diverse businesses about opportunities to take part on projects with that have corporate supplier diversity/MWBE participation goals.
Develop and manage a comprehensive outreach strategy to aid our clients with meeting supplier diversity goals. At minimum, the strategy will include events, webinars, trade shows, advertising, and social media.
Develop, keep, and distribute calendar of outreach and community engagement events.
Provide assistance to small, local, and diverse suppliers by helping them making
connections and directing them to resources for technical assistance, financing, certification.
Regular communication with vendor and subcontractors that have been awarded contracts to document progress and ensure compliance with project goals and good faith effort requirements.
Coordinate with the graphic design team to develop and create presentation materials, surveys, email blasts, flyers, and power point presentations.
Compliance monitoring – review, compare, analyze MWBE participation plans and progress reports.
Conduct meetings with prime contractors, group buying organizations, unions, and other organizations to share information and aid them with meeting supplier diversity goals.
Provide support to CEO on MWBE outreach, marketing, project management, and reporting, as necessary.
Participate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly stakeholder meetings to supply progress reports and updates.
Complete projects, tasks and other duties as assigned by the Director of Contractor & Supplier Diversity.
