Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (ABAC) Consultant Temp
Located on-site in Manhattan
Anticipated duration is 2 months

Job Description:

  • Develop and finalize draft testing plan, methodology (including sampling that focuses on areas presenting moderate/high anti-bribery and anti-corruption (“ABAC”) risk), and processes for testing (1) the identification of ABAC-sensitive customers and related parties, and (2) the monitoring of products and services provided to ABAC-sensitive customers and related parties across the FLUs to verify compliance with the ABAC Program requirements (collectively, “ABAC Testing”);
  • Conduct the ABAC Testing in accordance with the Legal Office’s Internal Guidance on ABAC Testing, review and assess the results, work with the FLUs to develop and implement necessary and appropriate remedial actions and timeline(s);
  • Handle day-to-day communications with the FLUs regarding all aspects of the ABAC Testing process, including the ABAC Program’s requirements applicable to the ABAC Testing focus areas;
  • Draft a final ABAC Testing report for each FLU based on LGO’s testing report template;
  • Assist in training Legal Office members assigned to the ABAC Program regarding the design, development, implementation of the ABAC Testing (including all remediation);
  • Maintain regular communication with Legal Office members assigned to the ABAC Program to ensure visibility into progress of ABAC Testing and related work tasks;
  • Other ABAC Program-related tasks as assigned by the General Counsel.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 10 or more years’ experience working within ABAC function, or Compliance, Legal, Operations, Finance, Risk, Control functions.
  • Experience with implementing a new ABAC compliance program, including risk assessment and testing. 
  • Expert knowledge of ABAC Compliance, industry practices and emerging trends.
  • Experience applying ABAC Compliance knowledge – including relevant industry best practices – across a broad range of financial products and services.
  • Experience interacting with legal counsel, internal auditors, law enforcement, regulators, and examiners on ABAC issues.
  • Experience collaborating with key resources and stakeholders, influencing decisions and managing work to achieve strategic goals.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
